Kristi and I have finally launched our new website with the help of Patricia at Zuk Design! We are very excited to have a more engaging online presence.
We often get phone calls or drop-ins by concerned customers seeking counselling about car repair (did you enjoy that alliteration?) One thing that often surprises people about brake repairs is the seemingly increased cost of fixing brakes on modern cars and trucks. Ron (of Shawnigan Garage) and I were discussing this as we ran the trails of Glenora.
Our daughter seems to be performing a lot this week: we also watched her in the Sunrise Waldorf School grade 8 production of Around the World in 80 Days. What a fast paced production! I loved it!
Had a great time watching the Adage Studio Winter Highlights concert last night. Our daughter was performing and it was great to see how much talent is in Cowichan Valley!
Sandy, or most important mechanic, recently commented that he has worked on more Subarus in the past 4 months than ever before in his long, long career (that was a dig at Sandy getting older). Anyway, that is because I bought the shop in August and I love Subarus and my client base is, well, a Subaru demographic…
A big shout out to Todd at Olenders Auto Care Centre and PC Auto Electric. Todd has saved me many times with his electrical genius. I also appreciate the referrals for wheel alignments from this iconic and busy shop. Good luck in your new location, Todd!
Luke from Ace Autosports is our choice for Out of Province vehicle inspections. I worked with Luke for years, and we always hoped of working together again: instead, now we now each own a shop close to each other!
What a coincidence to have 2 vehicles from Mill Bay Veterinary in the shop on Friday! Thanks for your trust and the work! I know your vet truck is always on call, so I appreciate your trusting Kroffat Brake & Wheel for your repairs.
We are so lucky at Kroffat Brake and Wheel to be so close to other amazing shops: we are right next door to Duncan Automatic Transmission, the most popular transmission repair shop in the Valley, and we are always referring work back and forth with our friends at Dickson and Fraser,
I was out in the trails with my running partner: Ron from Shawnigan Garage, and we were talking about oil change intervals. This is such a confusing topic for vehicle owners. Here is my take: most modern vehicles have maintenance monitors to warn you when it is time to get serviced. Just trust the computer. I hate to say that, and I don't say it often, but the manufacturer put a lot of R&D into that system, and it works.
New additions to the Kroffat team - Bryan Hayhurst and Linden Schultz!
